Troops : Medic

Medicnew
"Make love, not war! The Medic is opposed to all kinds of violence. Instead of grabbing a rifle, he heals other troops to help our cause."

Summary

  • The Medic requires Level 15 Headquarters, making it the last troop to unlock.
  • The Medic heals other troops, increasing their survivability.

Visual Appearance

  • The Medic appears as a fair-skinned man with a blue uniform, a satchel, glasses and a helmet with red crosses on it.

Offensive Strategy

  • Medics are the only Troops that ignore flares. They only follow injured Troops. Keep this in mind when maneuvering your Troops because Medics will tend to move fairly erratically.
    • If there are no non-Medic Troops on the battlefield, the Medics will just stand still.
  • Keep the Medic behind other troops so that defensive buildings won't target them.
  • Make sure you have at least 2 Medics on the battlefield, as they can heal each other.
  • Medics do not work well with Zookas, as the Zookas have such low health that they can be killed in one hit by many defenses.
  • Medics and Warriors don't go together, as the Warriors are faster than the Medics and will leave the Medics behind.
  • When using Medics, watch out for Cannons and Boom Cannons, as the Medics can't heal as fast as those two do damage. This is especially bad since you will most likely be using Tanksand Heavies with Medics, and both of those are bad against Cannons and Boom Cannons.

Defensive Strategy

  • Killing Medics seems easy as they don't do any damage themselves. However, it should be noted that Medics can heal each other and will usually be behind groups of other troopsduring a raid.
  • Make sure you protect your Cannons and Boom Cannons, as these could be your only chance of surviving and Medic-Tank/Heavy combo.

Upgrade Differences

  • Every level the Medic is upgraded it increases his Hitpoints, HPS (Healing per Second) and Training Cost.

Trivia

  • The Medic heals troops by throwing a small Medkit towards them.
  • The Medic is the only troop whose unit size is not a divisor of 24 which makes it the only troopthat cannot completely fill a max-level Landing Craft.
  • If at any point in the battle all of your non-Medic Troops are killed and you have neither any non-Medic troops to deploy nor enough Gunboat energy to afford an Artillery or Barrage, the battle will end instantly, even if you have Medics deployed that are still alive or other Gunboat Weaponries that are still in effect.

Troops : Tank

Tanknew
"With its powerful gun and thick armor, the Tank is a real war machine! Due to its weight, each Tank needs extra Energy to land ashore. Cannons, Boom Cannons and Boom Mines deal double damage to Tanks."

Summary

  • The Tank is the fifth troop to unlock in the game. They are unlocked at Headquarters level 11.
  • The Tank takes double damage from CannonsBoom Cannons and Boom Mines.
  • The Tank has slow movement speed, but very high health, DPS and long range.
  • Each Tank costs two Gunboat Energy to deploy.

Visual Appearance

  • The Tank is a big blue machine with a long barrel and black tank treads. It is driven by a red-headed woman in a blue uniform.

Offensive Strategy

  • If used properly, Tanks in large numbers are almost unstoppable.
  • Tanks + Medics can be a very effective strategy, because the Tanks have high health and high damage, backed up by Medics that will constantly heal them. Once any high-damagedefensive buildings such as Cannons and Boom Cannons are destroyed, the Tanks are practically invulnerable.
  • Using Tanks requires you to have high level Artillery and Barrage and a good amount of energy because you rely heavily on both of these to take out Boom Cannons and Cannons.
    • When Artillery and Barrages become too expensive, a good way to take out Cannonssafely is to Shock Bomb them and then Flare your Tanks onto it. The Cannon will be quickly destroyed before it can get even one shot off.
    • Take advantage of the Tank's long range to destroy economy and support buildings to get the crucial energy you need, making sure to keep out of range of nearby heavy defenses.
  • When using a Tank army, use Flares to move away from Boom Mines, or Barrage/Artillerythem first.
  • There is usually no need to worry about Cannons on the other side of the Headquarters. The Tanks can easily destroy the Headquarters while staying out of range of the Cannon using their long range.
  • Flamethrower are generally no threat because the Tank's attack range is longer than theFlamethrower's. This allows the Tank to shoot it without it shooting back. Be careful, however, of targeting buildings behind the Flamethrower, because your Tanks may move within range of its attack.

Defensive Strategy

  • High level Boom CannonsCannons and Sniper Towers can boost your chance of surviving a Tank raid. Keep them somewhat spread out so that they cannot be Shock Bombed together and one Barrage cannot damage all of them.
  • Carefully spread out your Boom Mines across your base to insure that your base is heavily defended from Tanks.
  • Protect your economy and much as possible. Tank armies need the energy they receive from destroying them to power their Barrages and Artillery shells needed to destroy your Boom Cannons and Cannons.

Upgrade Differences

  • There are no visual differences between upgrades. However, each time the Tank is upgraded its Hitpoints, DPS and Training Cost all increase.

Trivia

  • The Tank was invented during WWI.
  • Although the Tank is unlocked at HQ level 11, you can only upgrade Landing Crafts to level 11 at HQ level 11, which has size 15 that is only one short of holding two Tanks, rendering them much less powerful at this level, and encouraging players to rush their HQ to level 12.

Troops : Warrior

Warriorc
"The Tribal Warrior is an awesome sight in battle. He charges fearlessly, knowing that his Crystal Hammer will heal him with every blow."

Summary

  • The Warrior is the fourth troop unlocked in the game. They are unlocked upon reachingHeadquarters level 8.
  • Warriors use melee attacks rather than guns, and have relatively high damage.
  • Warriors have the fastest speed out of all troops.
  • The Warrior's health is higher than a Rifleman's and can also heal himself through attacking making him very useful.

Check out our Warrior Rush Calculator to get in-depth information about your Warrior army.

Visual Appearance

  • The Warrior appears as a slightly tanned, muscular man with white hair, gold jewelry and a blue crystal hammer.

Offensive Strategy

  • The Warrior is best used in large numbers with no other type of troop.
  • Warriors are more vulnerable to high level Machine Guns than other troops. They have to stand right in front of the Machine Guns to attack them which allows the Machine Gun to utilize its full potential.
  • Even though Warriors heal themselves with each attack, it is good to use one or moreMedkits.
  • It is not recommended to use a Smokey Warrior Rush strategy to take out the power core during Operations. This is because the power core is a 6x6 building, so a Smoke Screencannot cover it.

Defensive Strategy

  • At crucial part of protecting your base from Warriors is to place your Flamethrowers right next to your Headquarters. They are very dangerous to large groups of Warriors attacking theHeadquarters.

Upgrade Differences

  • Every level the Warrior is upgraded it increases his Hitpoints, DPS, Healing per hit and Training Cost.

Trivia

  • Buildings shake when attacked by Warriors.
  • When they appear as enemy troops, the blue marks on their faces turn red and their hammers have a red glow instead.
  • The male Native Islanders that come out from under the enemy Headquarters when destroyed look similar to Warriors except without crystal hammers.
  • In the "Freezing Menace" update, the Warrior's time to train was increased from 2 minutes to 3 minutes.
